I've compared four builds, each comprised of (a) base or prime chroma, (b) heat or cold energy, and (c) vitality or steel fiber.
This first image is the EHP calculation including elemental ward but without taking vex armour's scorn buff into account. Since this is something that's easy to be confused about, even doing some quick calculation, I'll share the results of a tool I made a while back and try to explain the discrepancy between fire and ice. TL DR: Since you're playing Chroma for vex armour, heat is the most valuable survivability ward.

Of course you don’t have to be a meta slave and if you wanna run shock or toxin you can! This is straight up the best effective health you can get on chroma and is (edit) ‘most effective’ for any missions where the enemy’s are past lvl 50.įire (red/orange) is great for content below 50, and levelling, due to it giving extra flat health but most importantly an aoe burn that helps cc and damage enemies. The most efficient energy color in a ‘greedy Chroma’ setup (high strength low range) is white energy since cold gives %armor based off strength AND it gives damage reflection.
